Top 5 New Features of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Android is Google’s mobile operating system that was first introduced by the company in 2007.  Today, it has developed from its beta version of the most popular and largest mobile platform used on millions of mobile devices.  The popularity of Android grew because it is an open source platform that you can customize according to your needs.  There are millions of applications, or known as apps for short, that can enhance your experience whatever mobile device you may have.

Android apps are created by a large community of developers and coding enthusiasts to greatly improve your experience and increase functionality of your mobile device.  The idea of an open source platform provides flexibility to developers, coders, manufacturers and carriers to modify the software and distribute it for free.

Jelly Bean has started as the Android 4.1 version of the operating system in 2012.  Google then released an enhanced version of the Jelly Bean with Android 4.2.  Minor bug fixes and further enhancements of the Jelly Bean are released through the 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 version of the operating system.  Google has just released the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.  This much awaited version comes with great new features that can every developer and end-users can enjoy.  Here are the top 5 new features of the sweeter Android 4.3 Jelly Bean:

Restricted Profiles

The capability of your tablet to be used by multiple users has been introduced in the Jelly Bean 4.2 version.  This feature has been enhanced to allow restriction on each user profile.  If you want to allow your kids to access only some applications or content, you can set the profile to do just that.  You can even filter the websites your kids can access and disable some of the tablet’s functionality like the camera.  Each user will have separate interface and environment when the tablet is used. You as the owner will be able to set those restrictions without worrying that your own account will be accessed.   This feature will also be of great use for public internet cafes or retail POS.

Ultra High Definition Support

The 4K ultra high definition is now supported through Jelly Bean 4.3 version.  This feature is actually a forward-thinking approach of Google since there are no mobile devices yet with a 4K resolution.  This kind of resolution can only be found in cinemas or huge televisions.  This feature is a sign of things to come soon, like a 4K capable TV that supports Google in your living room.

Background Location Scan

Even if your connection to Wifi has been turned off, your device will still scan data through the Wifi to get your most accurate location.  Location data are very important with Google so you can be provided with accurate information.

Advanced Input Algorithm

The keyboard was greatly enhanced to increase tap-typing recognition with an advanced algorithm.  This advanced algorithm also supports joystick and gaming buttons lower latency input.  A new emoji keyboard is also provided.

Low Energy Bluetooth Support

Low energy Bluetooth accessories like heart monitors, thermometers and other wearable technologies are now supported.  Your device can now communicate with these accessories and sensors without much effect on your battery juice.  Google glasses will benefit from this feature.

There are many other good and new features that can find in the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.  The first device that is shipped out in the market with a pre-loaded Jelly Bean 4.3 operating system is the Nexus 7.  It is said that this might be the last Jelly Bean update as giant Google prepares for yet another great update through the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

Chromecast UK Review

Chromecast UK Review. It’s time us Brits took a look at what Chromecast is going to offer us when it finally lands. We got our hands on one and here is what we think is the first UK review of Google’s latest innovation.

Chromecast is a small HDMI dongle that allows you to stream content from your Android or iOS device to your TV or any HDMI equipped device.

You can even use the Google Chrome browser to share web tabs to your TV. The Chromecast YouTube and Netflix integration work very well and the picture quality is exceptional.

No word yet on when Chromecast will launch in the UK or the final UK price but when it drops you are going to want to own one of these.

The Walking Dead Assault Android Review Galaxy S4

The Walking Dead Assault Android is a fantastic take on one of the best TV shows ever made.

Following the story from the TV show you wake up as Rick in a hospital and find a zombie outbreak has happened.

Q survival, you’ll have to navigate your way through the various greyscale awesome looking maps, defeating zombies as you go, grabbing power-ups, ammunition and surviving as long as you possibly can.

While the graphics are grey in nature. they really add something to the immersion of the gameplay experience, providing a de-saturated environment that really keeps the focus on the action.

The Walking Dead Assault is easily one of the best zombie shooters available on Android at the moment. However, it’s episodic nature means that you won’t be buying the full game today. You will have to unlock additional episodes over time, which of course will cost you a few pennies.

The Walking Dead Assault is well worth picking up on Android, we can’t recommend it enough.

You can upgrade your unicorn, you can get power-ups, buying new track soundtracks to work play through with a included Erasure apparently.

The whole game is just fantastic it’s beautifully well done and it just screams quality in a way that we don’t always get from titles on Android.

The music is fantastic. it’s current total 80s retro vibe that you just can’t put down. Robot Unicorn Attacks is one of those games you can want to pick up and play.

Adult Swim really are one of the best games developers currently out there on Android and they also make good TV shows as well.

Stargate SG1 Unleashed Ep 1 Android relive the TV show in an original adventure

Stargate SG 1 Unleashed Ep 1 Android is by far the best Stargate game to ever be released. It manages to capture the spirit of the show perfectly and the graphics are some of the best around. The entire cast has returned to lend their voices to the game and it really helps to sell the game as an extension of the show.

The game is episodic, so expect further installments over time released through an IAP at a later date. If you’re a fan of Stargate you are going to want to check out this title.
