Android Lollipop is a disaster – wait till February for fixes!?

Android Lollipop is a disaster for Google with so many bugs yet they released it anyway. Android Lollipop has battery drain issues, wifi Issues, force close issues, memory leaks and encryption bugs.

None of our devices running Android Lollipop have problems from the Nexus 5, 10 HTC One M8 and the Nvidia Shield Tablet it’s a mess and a half for Google.

Really we should be demanding a much faster release for these fixes as they are crucial to the eco system and your partners.

Nvidia Shield Tablet Review Lollipop Android 5

Nvidia Shield Tablet review. As promised we are taking a look at the Nvidia Shield Tablet, probably the most advanced Android tablet ever created and certainly the most powerful.

Spec wise the Nvidia Shield Tablet offers a 2.2 Ghz Quad Core processor running the Tegra K1 with 192 streaming cores. Sold in either 16gig or 32gig with Wifi or Wifi+LTE the Nvidia Shield Tablet features a 1080p 8in display.

The Shield Tablet is a perfect gaming powerhouse with the ability to stream games for your Nvidia powered PC as well as Nvidia’s Grid gaming service.

The optional Nvidia controller provides Wifi-direct connect offering low latency and true 1:1 responsiveness even when streaming from your local PC or Grid gaming platform.

Nvidia have managed to put together one heck of a package that works perfectly. Battery life is acceptable and the overall performance of software and hardware is spot on with the Shield Tablet.

Processor NVIDIA® Tegra® K1 192 core Kepler GPU,
2.2 GHz ARM Cortex A15 CPU with 2GB RAM
Display 8-inch 1920×1200 multi-touch Full HD display
Audio Front facing stereo speakers, dual bass reflex port with built-in microphone
Storage 32 GB (WiFi+4G LTE) / 16 GB (WiFi-only)

The included 5mpx front and rear cameras provide acceptable image quality though it won’t win the Nvidia Shield Tablet any awards on their own.

One of the stand out features of the Nvidia Shield Tablet is its gaming functionality which really is impressive. Think of this as a much more powerful and capable portable games console complete with Twitch and Gameplay record functionality, no matter the source from Local to Streaming to Grid it all just works.
