LG Optimus L52 E460 Review a mid range Android smartphone

The LG Optimus L52 E460 is a fantastic mid-range Android handset that offers a solid hardware and software package for a reasonable price.

With a 1GHz processor, 512 of RAM and 4gig of storage space, the L52 E460 offers performance and style aimed at the mid-range Android user.

We found the LG Optimus L52 E460 to be both light and easy to hold in the hand owing to its smaller 4in display. Running Android 4.1.2 it is a little behind the times as far as Android OS goes, but still offers many of the latest Jelly Bean features we have come to love.

Don’t expect a powerhouse of gaming from the LG Optimus L52 E460 but you can expect a well rounded device that addresses all of the most common requirements from a smartphone.

We especially like the notification light being built into the home button. It’s a simple yet welcome integration that many other manufacturers would do well to adopt.

The LG Optimus L52 E460 is a safe bet if you are looking for an Android device for a relative who’s new to Android or for those Apple users who want Android but without a hand busting large screen.

This device is fantastic for a wide range of mid-range users – your grandmother, your father, your brother or a sister – anyone who is not looking for a top-of-the-range powerhouse device.

Its in-built software, including an energy safety centre, making quick communication in an emergency, is a welcome addition as is using the notification light in a new way.

Don’t expect this device to set the world on fire but its small screen is actually packing quite a large number of pixels per inch and it’s reasonably bright although the display is a little bit fuzzy and lacking sharpness in places, but it’s reasonable in outdoor conditions as well.

LG has created a fantastic smartphone for the mid-range and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next. The LG Optimus L52 E460 shouldn’t set you back too much money and we appreciate the fact that LG have stuck with a smaller screen on this device rather than going for bigger-is-better.

We were pleased to see the inclusion of near field communication or NFC in this device as well. It’s really good to see NFC coming down into the mid-range of the Android smartphones.

If you’re looking for a smartphone for a first-time Android user, you could do worse than choosing the LG Optimus L52 E460. It offers everything a new user could need as well as being lightweight.

Metal Isolated NFC Tag is a great addition to your NFC tool kit, these tags can be placed onto a metal surface allowing them to work normally.

Magnetic NFC Tag quick to add and remove – Practical NFC

These Magnetic NFC Tag’s are fast becoming my favorite way to make use of Near Field Communication. Each tag has a magnetic layer and a metal isolating layer as well as the NFC chip.

This allows the tag to be placed on a metal surface made of Iron, Steel
Cobalt, nickel or law.(No I’m not sure what LAW is as a metal but apparently it’s magnetic :-)

Each Magnetic NFC Tag can hold 36 bytes of information just enough to code up a short url or basic contact information and plenty of space for Task Launcher actions.

I find these tags very useful on the fridge or placed between door ways to act as reminders, I can then remove the tag when or add new info to it if I need to.

Being magnetic means no stickiness to worry about and very fast to apply or remove from a metal surface.
