Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Android Launched

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Android has made its way to the Google Play Store in a surprise Christmas present to gamers everywhere.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is one of the best, if not the best, western RPG of the last 15 years. The developers are saying this is the full Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic experience with no short cuts or missing content.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic’s system is based on Wizards of the Coast’s Star Wars roleplaying game, which is based on the d20 role-playing game system derived from the Third Edition Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) rules. Players choose from three basic character classes at the beginning of the game, and later choose from three Jedi subclasses.

Where’s My Water? 2 Android Review

Disney’s Where’s My Water? 2 looks like being a winner.

This brain and puzzle game has already got four stars from 46,200+ visitors to the Google Play Store and it looks like being a popular one to play as the evenings get darker and you’re looking for some indoor entertainment.

This is the sequel to an earlier physics-based offering Where’s My Water in which Swampy, Allie and Cranky have new locations like a sewer, soap factory and beach. Yes, we think they might need a good wash after an encounter with the sewer too!

In an appealing scenario with 100 levels, you have to help Swampy with fresh water. There are challenge modes so that you can replay levels without getting bored and you can also use Facebook to compete with your friends.

Each character has its own game mechanics and personality and if you complete achievements you can earn special themed ducks like astronaut-duckie and gladiator-duckie.

There have been one or two issues related to crashes and problems unlocking levels and progressing, but the devs say the solution is to uninstall the app and then reinstall it.

You’ll need Android 2.3.3 to play Where’s My Water? 2 and it’s suitable for the youngest members of the family.

Respawnables Android Review Galaxy S4

Respawnables Android is a fantastic third person shooter from the guys at Zynga.

Providing both off-line and online gaming and with over 100 single player missions and fast-paced gameplay, the short battles are fantastically entertaining.

Also multiplayer match up and two game modes, free for all and team versus, work exceptionally well and it’s really good fun to be able to match up against your friends on Facebook.

The game works over with wifi and 3G / 4G, although with a 3G/ 4G connection do keep in mind lag will be an issue.

With over 50 customizations including items with attributes and 20 killer weapons, a progressive skill tree, gadgets and boosters, there are also a host of different maps to play.

The graphics are absolutely top notch, among some of the best we’ve seen on a mobile platform, both high-definition and incredibly colorful. The controls are smooth as well, making this a fantastic pick up and play game.

The game also features achievements allowing you to brag to your friends about how well you’re doing in the game. We found Respawnables to be one of the best third person shooters available on Android at the moment and probably one of the best games made so far.

Respawnables is on the Google Play Store now. It’s a free to play game with in-app purchases, should you desire them.

Blastron Android Review

Blastron Android provides a fantastic worms-like multiplayer experience.

We were really impressed with how well the Blastron works on Android. The touch controls are fantastic and being able to blast away at your friends is always good.

This game is well worth picking-up, it’s a free-to-play title and the in-app purchases are not too annoying.

You’ll have great fun with Blastron on Android. It really is one of the best worm-style games out there.

Let me know what you think of Blaston Android in the comments. Have you any other games you would recommend as well?

Prince of Persia Shadow & Flame Android Review Galaxy S4

Prince of Persia Shadow & Flame Android, how about a brand-new Prince of Persia adventure in shadow and flame?

In this brand-new Prince of Persia title you’re able to take to the walls and the catacombs fighting monsters and evil guys and collecting great loot.

The graphics are fantastic and the gameplay is just as good as I remember Prince of Persia to be, but with some new gameplay mechanics, including a new fighting engine that makes for much more dynamic combat.

Prince of Persia is available on the Google Play Store now for a couple of pounds and is well worth picking up if you’re looking for a sideways scrolling platform game to play this weekend.

Stay Alight Android Review Galaxy S4

Stay Alight Android is an Angry Birds style puzzle game where you have to fling balls of light to kill the little green things.

Physics plays a big part in this game. Everything is about angles and firepower.

We found Stay Alight to be incredibly charming with some of the best graphics we’ve ever seen on an Android title and a whole kind of the universe style that just works beautifully, and adds traction into the gameplay.

Stay Alight Android provides incredibly fun gameplay with a wonderful graphical style that we just know you’re going to want to pick up and play this weekend. It’s available on the Google Play Store right now.

As you complete each level you unlock new ones and on completion of each level stars are awarded to show how well you’ve done.

You only have a limited amount of ammunition and your success is completely down to how few shots you used to complete each level.

Monster Shooter 2 Android Review Galaxy S4

Monster Shooter 2 Android is a fantastic dual stick shooter, the sequel to the incredibly popular monster shooter – this game turns it up to 11.

With new graphics, new guns and more over the top gameplay, we can’t help but think this is one of the defining games of 2013.

However, the in-app purchases and advertising can make this a slightly distracting experience from the main game.

We love the addition of a graphics setting option that allows you to tune the game’s graphics to your device, allowing this game to work beautifully on high-end and low-end Android smartphones.

As with all dual stick shooters you will need to practice to get the angle is just right and remember, don’t back yourself into a corner.

The game is free to play and can be downloaded on the Google Play Store now.
