EA screws Journalists in Battlefield Hardline

EA screws journalists in Battlefield Hardline. The team at Guru3D have stumbled on a humdinger of an issue with Battlefield Hardline that renders the game unplayable if you swap any hardware in your system like your GPU or CPU.

Here’s what EA’s DRM is doing, they don’t just verify the number of PCs you work on / use, nope .. they dare to monitor hardware changes now, which I am sure is a privacy breach on many levels. So once we insert new hardware (CPU / mobo or graphics cards) the hardware id # hash changes and if that happens a couple of times they are rendering your activation invalid.

What a bunch of rubbish ….

If this is the future for EA titles then you guys can forget about VGA performance reviews as EA is rendering that pretty much impossible now. I’ve now been waiting for like three or four hours and we are still locked out of the game. The only way to solve this would be purchasing another key and setting up a secondary account. This means that if we’d like to make a VGA performance review on Battlefield Hardline with a card or 20 we’d need to purchase the game three times.

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 72 hours free play

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 72 hours free play on EA Origin. Looks like EA is trying hard to win hearts and minds with Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare offering 72 hours of free play if you’re a PC user.

To get the game, sign into EA’s Origin download service and search for Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare Download and the timer starts when you first launch the game.

Battlefield Hardline delayed what’s the real reason?

Battlefield Hardline delayed by EA to allow more time to polish Battlefield Hardline, or were Electronic Arts scared off by COD and Destiny’s pre-order numbers?

It seems likely that EA got cold feet – realising that with three shooters in the market so close together and with the relative strength of the competition – EA weren’t going to see big sales numbers.

TitanFall Live on PC

Join us as we stop around in Titanfall on PC Live for your enjoyment. Ask questions and we will explore Titanfall together.

In this live show I ramble a bit about video games and how PC development means we have a good chance of seeing a lot of top end games on PC this generation.

I spend an hour playing Titanfall at times not very well as I’m too busy waffling away, let us know what you would like to see on the next Live show.

Titanfall is published by EA and developed by Respawn, Microsoft paid a small fortune to bring it to Xbox One rather than just the PC.

True fact Titanfall was going to be a PC only game and my theory is a F2P one to boot.

Titanfall on PC is the way it’s meant to be played sadly the Xbox One version is a mess.

Dungeon Keeper Mobile Android Review

Dungeon Keeper Mobile – Here is EA’s latest Android game Dungeon Keeper. Sadly Dungeon Keeper is a shameless cash-in on a once great franchise. Ruined by in-app purchases (IAPs) and with gameplay that could be ripped from any crappy mobile world building game, Dungeon Keeper fails to live up to its legacy.

Dungeon Keeper Mobile – MyPuppetSteve

Dungeon Keeper Mobile – Steve takes a look at Dungeon Keeper released for Mobile by EA. With Dungeon Keeper Steve is less than impressed with the £70 IAP’s and in his puppeting way he will tell you what you should really do with Dungeon Keeper Mobile.

What do you think of Dungeon Keeper Mobile? Is it a shoddy cash-in on our youth or a viable way to bankroll EA’s next 20 games?

Dungeon Keeper was a game from many years ago that had you playing an evil dude who likes Dungeons, you had to build up your dungeon and destroy the enemy keepers.

Graphics for the time were some of the best seen and it had a level of game play and humour that is hard to ignore, Dungeon Keeper was one of the true greats like Syndicate and Pong. At least EA haven’t tried to make Pong with IAP’s – that would be soul destroying.

Dungeon Keeper of my youth is gone – replaced instead with a lame, bland and soulless cash-in from the monolith that is EA… and anyway I thought they were gong to stop pissing everyone off so they wouldn’t get yet another worst company in the world award.

Bye bye Dungeon Keeper, we knew you well and loved you lots.
