In Defence of Evolve and DLC Cosmetics

It’s time we had an honest conversation about Evolve DLC Cosmetics and the industry we want releasing games.

For some of you this video will go against everything you think you believe in. But hold on and open your mind to what the industry could look like if we don’t allow business models to keep pace with development costs.

The industry won’t survive making AAA games based on boxed sales alone, that’s fact. So the question is this, do we want great games with optional cosmetics that have no impact on gameplay but may offer developers and publishers some confidence they will make a profit and can invest in the next AAA game.

YES YES YES! it’s what we want, we just aren’t ready en-masse to accept it yet!

Battlefield Hardline Beta Review PC Xbox One PS4 60fps

Battlefield Hardline Beta Review PC Xbox One PS4 – time to check out Battlefield Hardline’s latest beta.

As noted during the first beta, Battlefield Hardline still isn’t feeling like anything more than an expansion pack, albeit one that recreates a lot of the COD vibe inside the Battlefield 4 engine.

The new Battlefield Hardline game modes are interesting but quickly start to feel boring the more you play them. It’s a game that seems to struggle with its own identity.

The Battlefield Hardline engine feels long in the tooth so much so It’s hard to describe these visuals as AAA in 2015. It feels more like a last gen console port than anything built for next gen.

Deus Ex The Fall Review Android

Deus Ex The Fall Review Android is the latest AAA title in the Deus Ex franchise and The Fall is the first mobile Deus Ex game.

How does it fare? Very well actually. Some complaints could be levelled at the animation that at times feels a bit out of date but overall the graphics are fantastic as is the gun play and RPG elements.

Deus Ex The fall could do with being a bit longer but that’s a minor grumble as there’s a lot here to really enjoy. It may not be a pick-up and play title owing to longer levels in keeping with this style of game, but Deus Ex The Fall should definitely be added to your collection.

Major Mayhem Android Review

Major Mayhem Android Review – Here we are with the over-the-top shooter Major Mayhem, a 2.5D sideways scrolling cover shooter.

Major Mayhem is a AAA mobile title for sure, boasting incredible graphics and fast gameplay. It has in-app purchases but is also free to play and isn’t too aggressive with its search for your wallet.

Major Mayhem is well worth checking out, it’s rare we get a game this well made on mobile for free.

Assassin’s Creed Pirates Review Android

Assassin’s Creed Pirates. It’s time to sail the high seas with our review of Assassin’s Creed Pirates on Android.

A great fun title that avoids the cash-in and delivers an excellent mobile gaming experience. Assassin’s Creed Pirates shows the right way to represent an AAA title on a mobile device.

The graphics of Assassin’s Creed Pirates are some of the best we have ever seen with the water and lighting being of stand out mention.

Gameplay in Assassin’s Creed Pirates is a clever mixture of mini games and quick time dodge and attack events in a similar vein to Death Dome but with ships.

All in all we feel Assassin’s Creed Pirates is a game worth picking up no matter if you’re a fan of the series or not. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.assassin.pirates
