Total War Attila Sega PR Extreme Bullshit those lovely PR folks at Sega are spinning hard today due to graphic settings included in Total War Attila that apparently can only be used on GPU’s that don’t exist yet.

Yes they actually decided that was a good excuse rather than “we haven’t optimized the game and just rushed it out the door just like the last 4 years”

Really it’s time Sega owned up and stopped lying to gamers just to sell their game. Be honest you might just sell more!

There are 5 quality presents you can select in Total War: ATTILA (you can always go into ‘Advanced’ and tweak yourself of course).

‘Max Performance’ – integrated chipsets and older cards
‘Performance’ – low end cards
‘Quality’– mid range cards
‘Max Quality’ – high end cards
‘Extreme Quality’ – future cards – no card is set to this out of the box

The official “Recommended Spec” is pegged to the ‘Quality’ setting at 1080p ‘out of the box’.

‘Extreme Quality’ also activates 4XMSAA, which will have a particularly big performance impact. Please note, that the ‘Extreme Quality’ setting is meant for future graphics cards, not for current gen. This is why it’s above Maximum Quality.

All in all it shows a lot of promise but I can’t escape the feeling this new engine has been built with consoles in mind rather than PC.

Evolve Review Live Playthrough with Evolve now released it’s time to take a playthrough and see what we have been given.

Rather than the usual review for Evolve we are going to do this as a live playthrough featuring 3 matches. I will explain the basics of Evolve as well as the classes and tactics best used.

During the Evolve playthrough I will offer you my thoughts and opinion about how the game is playing for me and anything I don’t like.

Evolve is an asymmetrical, cooperative/competitive shooter video game, developed by Turtle Rock Studios and published by 2K Games. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 10, 2015.

The Hunters are tasked with killing the Monster; while the Monster must either kill all four Hunters, or complete a secondary objective such as destroying a human base or power plant.

Battlefield Hardline Beta Review PC Xbox One PS4 – time to check out Battlefield Hardline’s latest beta.

As noted during the first beta, Battlefield Hardline still isn’t feeling like anything more than an expansion pack, albeit one that recreates a lot of the COD vibe inside the Battlefield 4 engine.

The new Battlefield Hardline game modes are interesting but quickly start to feel boring the more you play them. It’s a game that seems to struggle with its own identity.

The Battlefield Hardline engine feels long in the tooth so much so It’s hard to describe these visuals as AAA in 2015. It feels more like a last gen console port than anything built for next gen.

Ubisoft Reactivates stolen keys marking a win for consumers. As you may know last week Ubisoft deactivated keys bought through third party key sites claiming they were stolen.

This left many consumers without the product they had every expectation was legally obtained. Cue a big backlash for Ubisoft’s rubbish handling of the situation.

Now the company has had a change of heart: “After further investigation into the matter of keys that were fraudulently purchased on EA’s Origin store, we are reinstating keys for consumers who already had successfully activated and started playing the games. Any remaining fraudulently obtained and resold keys have been deactivated.”

Well yes, they had little choice really when faced with the damage this incident has caused to their brand.

Heroes of The Storm Beta Review – taking a look at a game with low expectations internally at Blizzard Heroes of The Storm.

All in all Heroes of The Storm delivers on its promise and far from a game that has low expectation I find a game that nails the MOBA style perfectly whilst adding variety and fun that is sorely missing in LOL and Dota2.

Heroes of The Storm is a MOBA for everyone not just the elite gamer.
