Chromecast UK Review – Androidizen

Chromecast UK Review. It’s time us Brits took a look at what Chromecast is going to offer us when it finally lands. We got our hands on one and here is what we think is the first UK review of Google’s latest innovation.

Chromecast is a small HDMI dongle that allows you to stream content from your Android or iOS device to your TV or any HDMI equipped device.

You can even use the Google Chrome browser to share web tabs to your TV. The Chromecast YouTube and Netflix integration work very well and the picture quality is exceptional.

No word yet on when Chromecast will launch in the UK or the final UK price but when it drops you are going to want to own one of these.

Asphalt 8 Airborne Review – Androidizen

Asphalt 8 Airborne has been released by Gameloft, Asphalt 8 features a phenomenal number of cars, incredible cutting-edge graphics and just one of the most brilliant racing experiences I’ve ever had on a mobile device.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA8HM

In Asphalt 8 Airborne your task is to race as fast as you can, grabbing air off jumps and filling your NOS, you’re going to need it if you want to take first position.

There’s over nine exotic locations stretching from Venice to Iceland to London and many more. Lots of different options for career mode and lots of different ways you can race in Asphalt 8 Airborne.

Hidden shortcuts will help you get the edge on your competitors and the use of ghost cars helps to keep things interesting and challenging throughout.

Multiplayer gaming looks very promising but at this time we weren’t able to test it due to technical difficulties. Every time we attempted to start a game, the game room would close. Hopefully this is only a temporary bug and will get fixed pretty quickly.

Asphalt 8 Airborne features in-app purchases as well as a pay upfront and that makes this a slightly difficult pill to swallow. It would have been better if the game was free to play with in-app purchases or was fee-based and no IAP’s.

The graphics when seen on Android 4.3 are honestly the best we have ever come across on a mobile title, really adding to the speed and a visceral experience of playing Asphalt 8 Airborne. ****

WarCom: Genesis Android Review – Androidizen

WarCom: Genesis Android is an excellent third person shooter with solid controls. The graphics are not the best around but that does mean it will run on even modest smartphones.

WarCom: Genesis offers enough variety to keep you playing for a while and is well worth checking out. ****

The Walking Dead Assault Android Review Galaxy S4 – Androidizen

The Walking Dead Assault Android is a fantastic take on one of the best TV shows ever made.

Following the story from the TV show you wake up as Rick in a hospital and find a zombie outbreak has happened.

Q survival, you’ll have to navigate your way through the various greyscale awesome looking maps, defeating zombies as you go, grabbing power-ups, ammunition and surviving as long as you possibly can.

While the graphics are grey in nature. they really add something to the immersion of the gameplay experience, providing a de-saturated environment that really keeps the focus on the action.

The Walking Dead Assault is easily one of the best zombie shooters available on Android at the moment. However, it’s episodic nature means that you won’t be buying the full game today. You will have to unlock additional episodes over time, which of course will cost you a few pennies.

The Walking Dead Assault is well worth picking up on Android, we can’t recommend it enough.

Respawnables Android Review Galaxy S4 – Androidizen

Respawnables Android is a fantastic third person shooter from the guys at Zynga.

Providing both off-line and online gaming and with over 100 single player missions and fast-paced gameplay, the short battles are fantastically entertaining.

Also multiplayer match up and two game modes, free for all and team versus, work exceptionally well and it’s really good fun to be able to match up against your friends on Facebook.

The game works over with wifi and 3G / 4G, although with a 3G/ 4G connection do keep in mind lag will be an issue.
http://www.androidizen.com/games/respawnables-android-review-multiplayer-is-full-of-win/

With over 50 customizations including items with attributes and 20 killer weapons, a progressive skill tree, gadgets and boosters, there are also a host of different maps to play.

The graphics are absolutely top notch, among some of the best we’ve seen on a mobile platform, both high-definition and incredibly colorful. The controls are smooth as well, making this a fantastic pick up and play game.

The game also features achievements allowing you to brag to your friends about how well you’re doing in the game. We found Respawnables to be one of the best third person shooters available on Android at the moment and probably one of the best games made so far.

Respawnables is on the Google Play Store now. It’s a free to play game with in-app purchases, should you desire them.
