Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Review

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Review

Here we are with one of the most advanced phones on the market the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 here is a through 41 Minute Review of Samsung##Q##s update to the Galaxy Note 2 a phone that went on to sell over 10 million units.

The Galaxy Note 2 features a 5.5 inch RGB Super Amoled display with a Quad core CPU running at 1.6 Ghz and 2 gig of system ram and either 16, 32, or 64gig of storage memory. Shooting photos and video on the 8mpx camera and some cool new slow motion video controls exclusive to the Galaxy Note 2 (Wikipedia) and your looking at a fantastic phone / tablet device.

Running Google##Q##s Jelly Bean Android 4.1 operating system this phone really flies, the inclusion with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 of the S-pen for stylus input opens up a whole new avenue of mobile usage. Now you can draw on the screen as well as touch it with your fingers.

Galaxy Note 2 Review

Now I##Q##ve spent some more time with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2  I can happily say it##Q##s one of the best devices ever made, the size is just right and the inclusion of S-pen opens up new possibilities for the road warrior, if you Root your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 you can modify Multi Window to include apps like Skype and Google Plus making it even more versatile and useful.

The camera takes fantastic pictures on the Galaxy Note 2 to the point that you can leave your old camera at home and just use your device, the flash isn##Q##t the best in low light which is a shame but images still appear clear and without too much iso noise in the shadows.

Gaming is probably one of this devices strongest features the large screen and speed cpu makes games really fly I##Q##ve yet to see a game that can really slow down the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Wifi performance is top notch as is Bluetooth and NFC sharing capabilities, speaking of which an often overlooked feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2  is it##Q##s NFC chip allowing for mobile purchases and tap to access via your Galaxy Note 2 look for NFC tags at retail locations to check out the fun.

Battery life is excellent offering 2 days of general usage or a good 9 hours of heavy gaming, surfing and video watching which places the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 near the top of the pile

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2  is looking like a class defining device with specs that lead the pack for a considerable time.

  3. Thank you very much for such great review. It is very helpfull!
I relly would like to see in action the options like S Voice, The speakers, Photo and Video shooting results. I hope it won’t be an issue. Thank you again so much!

    thx

  10. Hello, i just brought a brand new GN2 in few days ago. Im having a little trouble finding the time & weather display on the homepage on the front. It was proof disappeared and I wanted to put it back where it’s used to be. Help!

  11. The best part is you speak perfect English, then add subtitles.

  12. Hey, press the “Apps” button, Click on the “Widgets” tab on the top (right by Apps), scroll through it and you will find the Time and Weather Widget, press and hold on it and it will take you to the home screen, from there, just place it where ever you want. Welcome :)

  13. Shitty as fuck

  14. might be a really weird question, but how does the pen communicate? does it have a battery?

  15. No battery, it’s been said it’s Witch craft but really it uses a pizo electric system to power itsself as you move the pen across the screen.

  16. Settings > Lock screen

  17. S-pen is a brand name, a Stylus is what is is.. as in Stylus-pen S-pen

  18. Thanks

  19. Thanks you will really love the note 2

  20. We turn of Svoice its terrible use Google Now instead

  21. Check out playlists for loads of tips for Android and the note 2

  22. Your welcome

  23. lol it sure is

  24. you need an OTA from your network provider ask them 9%% of all note 2′s should now have the update.

  25. good review, really enjoyed it!

  26. It’s too bad the US carriers have ruined the multi-view by not allowing many apps in that list. You have to root it and I’m not comfortable with that.

  27. How do you remove speed dials from Galaxy Note 2? For instance, if 2 is assigned to Nick, but now I want to remove speed dial for number 2, how do I do that?

  28. I love the accent….
sounds better, more polite and formal than american version.

  29. I want one so bad!

  30. hehe

  31. thanks

  32. to be fair i never use speed dial

  33. I am going to buy one but there are some termes and conditions that i am going to do them before i buy it …….

  34. It’s ok, I figured it out myself.

  35. Hi I have watched your review of the Note 2 a couple of times and really enjoyed watching it. so much so that I have just got the Note my self & it’s awesome – this is coming from an Apple user, I am about to sell my 2 month old iPhone 5, that’s how good I think the Note 2 is. Yes it’s big bold & fantastic – will Apple ever make a device like this ???.
Great videos keep up the great work.Peace.

  36. Hi Kevin thanks maybe apple will one day but for now the Note 2 is the king

  37. cool

  38. Nice quadruple chin.

  39. Congratz man, really nice and complete review, very detailed, a bit too fast for non English speakers as myself, but good articulated language. I have to see it a couple of times to get all you offer or better said what Samsung offers and you discover… excellent! of course I susbcribed to your channel

  40. Watching this on my note 2 lol hell yeah

  41. es cierto me acostumbre muy rápido y ahora veo a los demás como minitelefonos jejejejejejejejejeje

  42. NEED FEED BACK PLEASE…
I have a note 2 one week in.. with gta vice city and ff3 the device gets very warm very fast..
i know its a quad core with no fan lol .. but my last phone xperia play didnt heat up like this inless i was playing for along time..( n64iod ect.)
I need to know if other note 2 phones heat up like this and if its normal.. I love the note 2 just a little worried about the heat.. cant find much on goggle …. iam on sgh-i317m …

  43. Xperia Play? Maybe cause thats a 1ghz snapdragon single core processor and this has a frickin 1.6 ghz quad core exynos. That thing is nowhere near this phone . Even consoles get hot and they have fans. Sometimes you gotta compromisey good sir. Lol

  44. very true

  45. they get hot but it wont explode

  46. nice

  47. thanks

  48. Whaching this frome my note
    I sware
    Lol

  49. Due for an upgrade. But so torn. What’s better the Sprint Evo 4G lte or the Note 2? hellllpppp

  50. Thank you fotr you

  51. Thank you very much for you

  52. Hello, I enjoy your videos. Wondering if you can help.
I cannot find anything to show how to have 2 different
clocks on my display. I used to be able to have 2 different
ones on the same page. Thank you. cindy hoku :)

  53. Have you tried using Clock widgets?

  54. read many comments to this affect, but yeah, very very nice proffessional detailed and friendly review. thumbs up

  55. thanks

  56. Im a new android user and i just bought my samsung galaxy note 2 with 4.1.1 and i want to update it to 4.1.2 but the software update is saying that my phone is up to date so how can i upgrade it to 4.1.2?? thanks a lot, i hope you can help me guys.

  57. its upto your network to enable the update best ask them when they plan to push it live

  58. Thank you. I will go there. I am very new to this level of technology so some things that may be elementary are very new to me. Thank you for your videos!!!

  59. not even a question galaxy note 2

  60. Hey i have a question. My friend has the Note 2, and he wants to know how to remove the shortcut menu. (the half rond thing on the left side off the screen, you can move it up and down, you have shortcuts when you tap on it. i seee you have removed it, how??

  61. long press the back button to hide the multiwindow toolbar

  62. how come you went for the white Note 2.

  63. I will buy it xD
    Awesome phone !

  64. so… can you use like whatsapp and youtube at the same time?!

  65. yea coool

  66. The most accurate review I’ve seen on this amazing phablet device (phone).

If you’re looking for a tablet for working or entertainment, this is totally for you!!

Size is just fine for me. Not too big, and pretty useful.

  67. I’m really considering ridding myself of the iPhone 5 for this too. I’m all Apple at the moment, Mac, iPad Mini, iPhone – I wouldn’t change my tablet/Mac. But I think I’m rather bored of the iPhone, its not MUCH different in comparison to the 3GS. The iPhone 5 was basically a larger 4S. But I got it due to having iTunes, and all my contacts/calendar/mail synced through iCloud. I was wondering, how could I get iTunes Music onto this phone?

  68. Also, would I be able to use my @me E-mail, which came with my iCloud account – in the Mail app or Gmail App on the Note 2? Thanks! :)

  69. Galaxy Note 2 Video Recording Time Test/guide:

    1 Minute Superfine at 1920×1080 resolution = 230 MB
    1 Minute Superfine at 1280×720 resolution = 132 MB
    1 Minute Superfine at 720×480 resolution = 28 MB

    IntunedOnline,net

  70. @jack burrows look there is an app you can get that will move your itunes music to your Android phone, its called “isyncr” you’ll find that easily on the Android market, there is a paid version too…its easy and believe me the shift from iPhone to the note 2 is worth it

  71. Thank you for a well rounded in depth review!

  72. Hello there! Have you heard regarding the Tube Cash Exposure? I discovered it on Google Search and found out a lot of terrific stuff about it. Some of my good friend also advise me to check out it

  73. wats tat game you playing at last part of vedio..?

  74. @Jesus Bruzual jaja si…y cuando agarras otros telefonos los sientes muy pequenos jaja eso me pasa ami….

  75. Well done.

  76. I am so getting that for my next phone

  77. What was the app you used to perform the first benchmark test???

  78. IPhone loses

  79. Great review, it’s – hands down – one of the best out there. I know because I’m checking all of them as I’m waiting for this phone to be shipped to me, lol ;)

  80. If you don’t work for Samsung, you should. Really awesome review. Very informative. I was unsure about getting this phone. Finally putting down my reliable HTC was a big step for me. Always found HTC to be a decent product.
This said, I will be getting the Note 2.
Thank you for your review on this phone.

  81. Awesome review. We are on a long trip around Europe and it will be perfect for: keeping track of our itinerary, updating expenses records, bringing up our emailed booking confirmations, and coolest of all, taking a supplementary picture of things (which we are also photographing using a pro camera),and using the Samsung pic to make a handwritten note at the back for later reference.

  82. thanks so much

  83. ha thanks enjoy your new note 2

  84. thanks

  85. it sure does

  86. you should

  87. thx

  88. no probs

  89. yup

  90. I like it

  91. UGHH! I cant choose between the note 2 and the s3!!! I am going to the store tomorrow and i have to decide tonight! Ive seen your video and im still torn! I want the note 2 so bad but im scared the screen will be too big

  92. OMG thank you so much for this. I got the phone yesterday and this has helped me so much. You are AWESOME!!!! Best review on the Note 2.

  93. The Note 2 is amazing. Dont let the screen scare you. Its big but you’ll get use to it in about an hour if that. I had an iphone and got the Note 2 yesterday and I completely love it. Best phone EVER!!!! Hands down

  94. thanks man! I think you sold me lol Im going to pick it up in a couple of hours

  95. This is the future. Goodbye iPhone.

  96. Very Brilliant Video. You are an amazing reviewer! P.S. Enjoy the marketing for the app. game.

  97. I have a question when you mention that Jelly Bean is going to be replaced by Key Lime Pie. How concern should I be on how that would effect the phone being compatible with the modern times?

  98. not an issue Samsung will release the new Android OS when its read and you just update its very likely Note 2 will get KLP

  99. Go for the Note 2. Both phones are fairly large (4.8″ compared to 5.5″). You’ll get more features and a far better experience. I’ve use a Note 2 and it feels comfortable to use in my hand. No need to worry at all. Note 2 is the better choice undoubtably.

  100. Wait, so without any apps open, it uses up 1.1gbs of RAM out of the 1.75? That means only 600mbs for apps??? please clarify this for me!

  101. oh wait i noticed it went down to 750~mbs after clearing the memory. but isnt that a lot of RAM usage for just a stock phone?

  102. maby it’s just me but i cannot use whatsapp and youtube at the same time.

  103. thank You for this Video it is Very helpful

  104. should i get this or galaxy s4, i want a phone

  105. 还蛮不错的!

  106. white or black

  107. As a long time iPhone user I have to say that this looks awesome.

  108. Is it possible to exchange data like calendar with mac wirelessly?

  109. this guy sounds like Q from Skyfall

  110. Yes. I sync Calendar with my gmail account.

  111. can you use the google maps as a sat nav?

  112. U know the iPhone always up date there software, does the Note 2 have something like that

  113. Great in depth review and you convinced me to get this phone!

  114. you should take note 2 if you are used to huge phones

  115. you convinced me to get this phone and I am going now

  116. Yes you can! :-)

  117. Very impressive review!!! Keep it up! Solved a lot of my confusions between buying galaxy S3 or a note 2, note 2 it is then :)

  118. Hi there bro, great review.
Just wondering how do I get the 2 different benchmarking apps that you used in this review?

    ~ Jason

  131. Nice detailed vid. what is the mgpx for the camera and video?

  132. How do I find the clipboard on the Note 2???

  133. Recently drove over my Galaxy Sii (16 months old) after having just rooted it and installed Jelly Bean. Alas, it was dead…the good news though it I had an excuse to get a Note 2…had it about a week now and THIS THING IS AMAZING!!!! This overview of yours is great….learned a few things I hadn’t discovered yet. Thank you so much!!!!

  134. Can’t wait too get it next Friday! Samsung has made a beautiful phablet:)

  135. yep getting one!

  138. we ordered this phone last the beginning of this week.. hopefully to get it next week yay:D

  139. I really cant believe ppl still buy Liephones, when Samsung phone exist

  140. It became laggy due to lower ram, which was only 1gb, slower processor which was only 1.5 ghz. While the GN2 is a quad core processor 1.6ghz exynos which is the fastest, and the ram is 2gb this phone will last for 4more yrs

I hope the Samsung Galaxy S4 has as much if not more features than the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I also hope the Samsung Galaxy S4 display will be wide! I hope the S4 display has aspect ratio of 16:10! I just hope the Samsung Galaxy S4 display as wide as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 display!-Hope So!.
