If you like hectic kart racing and big guns then Cracking Sands has everything you’re looking for in a game. See Galaxy S3 accessories here: http://goo.gl/hHkhel

At £3.11 from the Google Play Store, this isn’t a cheap game, but it does have a lot of entertainment value and repeat playability.

Basically, Cracking Sands Android it’s another of these games where the world is coming to an end and there aren’t many people left, but you’re one of them, trying to survive in an increasingly difficult world where your best bet for continued existence are the death races.

You can create your own custom character and kart from various themes and then arm yourself with an arsenal of weapons, including missiles, mines and other far-fetched but entertaining items. You can unlock new hardware to make your character even more effective.

There are single player game modes but if you want to create global mayhem you just go online and pal up with other people in multiplayer mode Cracking Sands Android.

This is one from the Polarbit stable and has some great graphics and entertaining gameplay. We think it’s fab! Visit our website: http://androidizen.com

Rise of the Blobs Android is one of those daft games that are an absolute joy to pick up and play with blobs as they rise when you’re stuck on public transport.

What you’ve got is a blast of hungry blobs trying to eat a marshmallow, who is stuck on the top of a tower. To save the marshmallow, you have to fill the blobs with fruit and get them into huge chains.

Well, we did say it was daft! It’s also quite compelling and we’ve spent rather more time than we should playing it. Judging by the number of downloads, between one million and five million, it’s very popular.
Visit our website: http://androidizen.com

Rise of the Blobs Android is a little bit Tetris but a bit more than that though as it is a 3D puzzle game and you do have to use strategy. There are also quite a number of different game modes so you won’t get bored and you can get your m8s involved as well. You complete missions to earn rewards and it is quite challenging so has replayability.

This Android game by Robot Invader is free on the Google Play Store and, as with most free-to-play games, you can pay to upgrade with power-ups to get higher scores. You get a little tutorial to help you on your way too.

The graphics are lovely, very pretty, and you can sync the game across all your devices so if your Android battery takes a beating, because this game is quite compulsive, you can move on to a different device while you’re recharging. We love Rise of the Blobs Android.

It’s had a couple of recent updates which have improved performance and it’s well worth a download.

Temple Run 2 Android is here, just a few short weeks after other platforms Temple Run 2 arrives on Android out now on the Galaxy Note 2 and S3 and we can now take a look at the follow up to one of the biggest game releases of all time Temple Run.

Not much has changed in the basic game play why mess with what works, but Temple Run 2 Android has been given a facelift with better graphics and faster gameplay that make this a worthy successor to Temple Run.
Visit our website: http://androidizen.com
Free on the Play Store now:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imangi.templerun2

There’s a sense of deja-vu with Temple Run 2 and it’s blooming GREAT!

And with more than 17,000 gamers voting it with a five-star rating on the Google Play Store you can’t go wrong.

There have been more than 170 million downloads worldwide as Temple Runners zoomed into action.

Temple Run 2 Android is more of the same thrilling gameplay, jumping, sliding, and of course running while avoiding obstacles like sheer sided cliffs, forests and mines as you make off with the cursed idol.

The graphics are more beautiful than ever with stunning environments featuring new obstacles. Try your luck with more power-ups and more achievements and discover the new powers which the characters use.

There’s an even bigger monkey. GULP!

Temple Run 2 Android is free to play, entertaining and highly addictive with good gameplay mechanics. A very small amount of swiping lag, but not really enough to spoil your enjoyment, barely noticeable actually. Maybe could do with a little bit of tilt sensitivity but that would be the only criticism.

Trial Xtreme 3 Android is one of those fine game series that always keeps me coming back for more,Trial Xtreme 3 is challenging and compulsive once you get the hang of it.

The graphics for Trial Xtreme 3 are some of the best around and the physics gameplay while at times can be frustrating mostly adds bags of reply to each level as you try and collect all the stars without a face plant.

Nothing better than a noisy bike game where you can rev up and leave your friends trailing in your exhaust fumes.

And Trial Xtreme 3 is another hit from Deemedya.

This is a game that will keep you engrossed for hours as it has 76 completely new tracks (12 of them free) with lots of options for pitching yourself over the handlebars if you get too cocky.

If this was real life then this track would be condemned by health and safety for the number of wrecked cars, waterpipes and even mines which are hazards to be avoided. Did I mention the mines?

You’ll be competing with top trials bikers across four worlds as well as your m8s so it’s all to play for. There’s a new physics engine so the gameplay fairly roars along.

You can customise your kit and your bike while challenging friends or random folks whether they are on or off line.

Actually playing is reasonably easy, you can use the buttons or the phone’s accelerometer.

Free with in-app purchases so try the first 12 free levels and then you’ll probably want to invest in the other 64.

Now and then we come across one of those games that we really like because it’s a bit different.

You can have too many car chases or endless runner style games with pretty graphics.

With ShaqDown you’re getting full-frontal zombie action as basketball star Shaquille O’Neal gets to grips with some rather unpleasant characters.

The storyline is that a zombie virus has mutated and the resulting zombies have enslaved mankind.

Shaq’s job is to save the day using his magical powers and superior strength. So that’s it basically. The zombies are facing a ShaqDown, like it says on the tin. The animation and HD graphics are by Street Fighter Artist Long Vo and they’re pretty good.

The game, from One Spear Entertainment, is 62p from the Google Play Store and you get three game stages with thousands of mutant zombies. If you earn Shaqra you can unlock new game modes.

Not a difficult one to play either, if you’ve got the Samsung Galaxy 3 or the Note 2, just grab it and get on with it.

QM Launcher Android is a strange beast, as a launcher it reinvents the way you will interact with your Android device.

We found QM Launcher to work well but lack the polish of other launchers, its a massive shift in the way you launcher applications.

The widget area is a shame It would be nice to see widgets incorporated more cleanly rather than placed in a draw but it works well for enough for now.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quantummatrix.QuantumMatrix3DEngine&feature=nav_result

Phew! Just when we were getting a bit bored, along came a really innovative idea, and it’s so good that we can’t believe nobody has thought of it before.

QM Launcher. What a gem of an Android app. From MobileKNOT, it will set you back £3.07 but we think it’s worth every penny.

What you get looks at first sight like a one colour Rubik Cube. A six-sided shape hacked into squares. Doesn’t sound very exciting does it, but trust us – it is.

This is a home screen, app launcher and content organiser which you can use on an Android smartphone or tablet. QM means Quantum Matrix which the developers have patented to be a one-stop organiser for all your apps and everything else you have on your device, like music, photos, contacts and documents.

If you think it sounds complicated then it isn’t but there is a good user guide which is worth a quick read before you get started.

We don’t know about you, but we’re getting a bit fed up with having to swipe page after page of 2D icons and having to remember which page our maps are on for instance. The Matrix is so much easier as you just rotate it and have all your apps immediately visible.

There’s also a toolbar and a widget panel so you can add your favourites and if that isn’t enough, what about the Sub-Matrix which lets you access another Matrix. You can just go on and on with this device until you either run out of apps to load, or your device memory gives up the ghost.

MobileKNOT are still working on QM Launcher, so expect more features and updates before long. We can’t wait to see what else they include as the developments progress.

Winner Waterproof Skin’s this has to be one of the most bizarre but brilliant products I’ve ever reviewed. The idea is to seal your Galaxy note 2 in a water proof skin that is ideal for holidays or adventurous types who need their phone but don’t want water damage.

You have to push the Note 2 into the Winner Waterproof Skin its a tight fit but the skin is stretchy and strong so unlikely to tear as you put it in.

You get two skins in each pack and a set of moisture indicators you can place on the back of the phone so you know if you have sprung a leak and can reskin it.

I was really impressed with the way the skin works allowing you to continue to access all the features of the phone while it’s sealed up safe.

You can use each skin twice before it may become unsafe for reuse making this a cost effective option for those on holiday or in the great outdoors.

Just when you think you’ve seen all the cutest games on the planet, along comes another one, even cuter than the rest.

This is Gravity Sheep, a hapless ball of mutton and wool who needs your help to complete his quests.

From the Overflow Studio farmyard, Gravity Sheep is a 2D physics game which has fun and challenging gameplay using your finger to draw boxes.

There are really only two stars of this game, the sheep and the mushroom. The sheep wants to eat the mushroom and needs you to help him do it.

It’s a simple enough game but with lots of challenging levels. Get it wrong and the sheep gets it. Not the mushroom but he takes a nosedive splat to the ground. It certainly gives you something to think about and it’s entertaining when you get it right.

You can do a few things to make your task easier, like draw longer lines, but the trade-off with that is the sheep becomes a lot heavier and, trust me, a heavy sheep isn’t going anywhere in a hurry, much less to eat a mushroom.

There are 45 levels in the full version but you can install a free to play version without any ads and when you’ve finished the game, if you keep it installed you can get new secret levels as they are released.

It’s very smooth to play on the Android phone and a great little pick-up-and-play title. We love it! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.overflowstudio.gravitysheep.free
