We had no problems with this Nexus 7 desk stand it does what it says on the tin and it does it well. It’s of solid construction and has a sturdy weight to it that will help protect against knocks tipping your tablet over.

It does what it says on the box it creates a perfectly stable stand for your Nexus 7 and it looks awesome doing it!

Syder Arcade Android, Fabulous graphics can make a good game even better so we sat down to play Syder Arcade HD expecting that we##Q##d find it gripping.

And we did. For 77p at the Google Play Store, this offering from Studio Evil is good value.

Syder Arcade is a lot of fun if you like shoot ##Q##em ups, and the action is fast and furious with plenty of opportunities to get it wrong. We love arcade games, our first foray into gaming was on the old Amiga, a wonderful introduction and this game brings back many happy memories with its starships and aliens and evocative soundtrack.

There are four difficulty levels and you get badges for your skills to boost your scores. There are six campaign levels and a survival mode level. If you get the shooting wrong – then you die.

This is lovely on the Android tablet or smartphone. You do need a dual core CPU but if you run into any technical difficulties you can email the devs. Tip: shut down other applications before you get started, that might help. It works well on the Nexus 7, lower spec devices might struggle a bit.

There are no nagging ads and no in app purchases so although 77p is perhaps a bit more than you##Q##d want to spend on a game, you do get the whole thing, there are no after purchase add-ons.

If you love parkour action then you##Q##ll love Vector, the latest from the Nekki devs.

This realistic game, with an arcade style, involves a free thinker who wants to beat the system. There##Q##s a baddie of course, a Big Brother and as Vector, you use all your gymnastic talents to outwit him by running, jumping, climbing and sliding along obstacles using urban Ninja techniques.

If you get caught by Big Brother then your taste of freedom is over!

The controls are smooth and fluid as you progress through the 30+ levels and there are lots of action packed puzzles to make life even more challenging. You also collect points as you go along.

The animation tools are by Cascadeur and bring a lifelike feel to the game. It isn##Q##t too difficult to start with but testing enough to make it a game you##Q##ll want to play again and again.

It##Q##s free to play, runs smoothly on the Nexus 7 and has a lot of unlockables to add to the game interest.

So here we are today with a new case. This one is for the Nexus 7 tablet and this particular one is a tablet wear stand case So, let’s look at what makes this one so interesting.

It’s a leather style folio case to begin with so this particular type of unit completely encases the device keeping it nice and safe.

So all you need to do is open it up and you then slide the tablet in and that keeps the tablet nice and secure, it can’t slip out.

This is a top notch Nexus 7 cover and offers great protection at an affordable price.

Pitfall Harry is about to have another bad day in Pitfall Android, unless you can help him avoid trouble.

It really is true that the old ones are the best and this Android revival of the 1982 classic has all of the appeal of the original.

From the Activision stable, Pitfall Android has a series of challenges while escaping a dangerous volcano.

The gameplay is set in a jungle and the free running Temple Run-style antics include racing through villages and caves while avoiding being roasted by the volcano or falling off a cliff.

You can slide and jump using easy swipe and tilt motions and use your whip to overcome enemies like crocodiles and snakes.

The scenery is quite interesting, using things like waterfalls and dark caverns to make the Galaxy Note 2 shudder.

As you level up you can swap your loot for power-ups for a better experience. It##Q##s one for friendly rivalry as well as you can post your score on Twitter and Facebook to out do your friends.

Free on the Playstore and guaranteed to give you hours of entertainment.

You can order yourself a smart new Nexus 4, Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 tablet from Google Play Store if you look sharp.

But you##Q##ll need to be quick because they##Q##re likely to be selling like hot cakes to customers in the UK and our Euro pals in Spain, France and Germany.

The Nexus 4 is totally wireless while the Nexus 7 is Google##Q##s first tablet.

Weighing in at £239, the Nexus 4 (8GB) has the latest version of Android. If you want to go bigger, you can get the 16GB version for £279.

Just switch it on and you##Q##re away. You##Q##ll be using the fantastic Google Now in no time, and wondering how you ever did without it. Enable location services and you can smooth your commute to work, find out if your flight is delayed, and look up restaurant reviews before you choose somewhere to eat out.

There are 675,000 apps and games at your fingertips and a high performance 8mp camera so you can take innovative 360 degree panoramas. When you##Q##re tired of that, you can shoot video in full 1080p.

The Nexus 7 at £159 for 16GB is wifi only and has 32GB of storage. If you want to upgrade to 32GB then you##Q##re looking at £199 and for 32GB and HSPA+ then that##Q##s £239.

It has a powerful quad-core processor and you can get a mammoth 300 hours on stand-by, nine hours of HD video playback or 10 hours of web browsing. It has a 1.2 megapixel camera and was designed for keen gamers, with a gyroscope and accelerometer. If you##Q##re someone who likes to fire off a few emails or texts in a hurry then you##Q##ll find the predictive texting a whizz too.

Order your Nexus 4, Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 from Google Play Store

The Nexus 10 drops in at £319, is wifi only and 16GB. It##Q##s Google##Q##s newest tablet and claims to have the world##Q##s highest resolution tablet display at 2560x 1600. You can get web browsing speeds up to four times faster than normal wifi.

What##Q##s not to like? These little treasures are going to be top of a lot of people##Q##s Christmas lists so don##Q##t leave it too long before ordering from the Google Play Store.

If you##Q##ve bought a Nexus 7  from Google or ASUS then you could be in for some good news with the Nexus 7 refund offer.

As the price dropped in Europe and the US just before you bought it then you could get a partial refund from two separate schemes.

If you##Q##re in the UK and you bought the Nexus 7 from ASUS before October 29, 2012 then you can get a £25 voucher to use in the company##Q##s online store.
Elsewhere in Europe, you can get a 30 euro voucher. There##Q##s no info about whether this deal is limited to any particular version.

But be quick, because the application date is only until November 30, 2012.

How to claim your Nexus 7 refund

It##Q##s fairly simple to get the voucher. You just complete the registration at the ASUS member site and then submit proof of purchase.

There##Q##s more good news from Google which has a Price Protection policy that says if you##Q##ve bought the Nexus 7 16GB within 15 days of the price drop, that is on or after October 14, you can get the difference in price refunded. That##Q##s a tidy $50.

That is the 16GB version only though and Google say if the purchase is eligible they##Q##ll refund the difference in price within 14 days of your request.

The eagerly awaited Google Nexus 4 will be unleashed on the market on November 13.

And it’s been well worth waiting for. This is going to be a popular phone for the Christmas market, particularly as it has the new version of Jelly Bean, Android 4.2.

nexus 4 wireless 300x252You can jettison the digital camera and whip out the Nexus 4 with it’s revamped camera app. It’s not quite as good as the camera in the Samsung Galaxy S3 but other new features include lock screen widgets and a stylish clock app.

So, what will we get in the box? First off there’s the impressive 1.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064, the Adreno 320 GPU and 2 GB RAM.

It has a stylish 4.7inch full matrix IPS Plus display and a 2100mAH non removable battery.

Weighing in at a lightweight 139g, it has an 8mp rear camera and 1.3mp front camera as well as  goodies like bluetooth, nfc, and wireless charging.

The Google Nexus 4 takes phone design up a notch, nice to handle, feels like a quality product.

Best of all it is super fast, the fastest phone you can buy at the moment and it should be pretty future proof thanks to the gizmos like wireless charging.

The Google Nexus 4 is unlocked so you are allowed to root it and you can get a prepaid budget plan to suit your ….

On the downside, you can’t remove the battery (whose bright idea was that!!??) and the storage options are limited to 16GB and no SD card, so it loses a few points for that.

As far as looks go, the phone has an expensive aura about it, with the front and back made from Gorilla Glass 2. It’s black and shiny and screams luxury.

Google Nexus 4  Performance and Features

Performance wise, don’t plan on doing anything else while you’re scrolling web pages, you won’t have time, it works like lightning, GPS is similarly nippy, taking around four seconds to lock on if you’re outside with wifi off.

nexus 4 handset 300x300Phone cameras can be a bit iffy in low light and the Google Nexus 4 is similarly a bit challenged but you can take a couple of snaps a second after you get the focus right.

For novelty value Android 4.2 has a new option called Photo Sphere. You can take a 360 degree shot in 10 pictures. So if you’re out on the town and want to show off your location, it’s a fun thing to use. And you can email the sphere to someone or download the file.

Photo Sphere does have limitations though. You can’t edit the pictures but maybe this will be an option for the future. For the moment it’s impressive enough.

If you’re running the Google Nexus 4 and thinking about upgrading, it’s a no brainer.

For starters, the battery takes twice as long to drain, about 12 hours instead of six. You won’t find your phone on charge every time you want to use it!

It’s easier on the eyes too, with three sub pixels per pixel, compared with the Galaxy Nexus’s two. This comes at a cost though, because you lose the intense black of the Galaxy Nexus’s Amoled screen.

If time is important to you then you’ll like the new clock app which is one of the biggest innovations in Android 4.2. Easy to program and you can get timer countdowns if you need them.

For speed and accuracy you can give the Google Nexus 4 keyboard a try. I’m not a big fan of swipe on a phone, you need small fingers, but the Google version’s auto correct is more accurate than some.

This is one of the best games I##Q##ve played on Android, HORN shows the full power of the Tegra 3 running on the Nexus 7. Really is a top title and you will not be disappointed if you give it a try. My advice would be to download it right now from the Google Play store, it##Q##s around £5 / $7 but worth every penny. Horn is a cross between a RPG and a hack and slash like infinity blade you have to experience to really understand what I mean by that.

What are you waiting for go download HORN now.

Visually Stunning HORN 3rd person Adventure Exclusive To Cell phone!

HORN is a 3rd person action adventure game – a considerably unique encounter where anyone can fully explore and enjoy a beautiful and engaging console-style story, all controlled by touch gestures.
You play as a young blacksmith##Q##s apprentice named Horn who waken up to find your town and lands over run by large fantastic, and occasionally humorous, creatures. It is revealed these critters are actually the individual and animals from your community transformed by a hex, and you single-handedly have the energy to free them.

On your stunning adventure you often carry the loud-mouthed brain of one such unbelievable beast with you – a somewhat disobliging and ill-tempered but reluctantly helpful buddy.

Along with this new partner you must use your blade, crossbow, reliable melodious horn, and wits to explore the territories, defeat the invaders, and answer puzzles in your quest to undo the hex that engulfs your homeland.

Fresh from the Zynga stable is Horn, a lovely game with delicious graphics.

Horn is a third person action game where you##Q##re the hero and have to get rid of monsters who have taken over your world.

With a magical theme, you discover that the monsters are really the cursed neighbours from your village and only you can return them to normality!

Stunning on the Android device, Horn is full of the usual adventure exploits like super weapons and challenging puzzles to make it to the end of the game.

The controls give you plenty of action like jumping and running and unlike a lot of games you don##Q##t have to stick to defined paths, you can venture off-piste and see where the journey takes you.

There are three lands and lots of challenging modes as well as hidden content to reveal. Musically, it##Q##s lush with full orchestral accompaniment.

At £5.99 Horn isn##Q##t cheap but, if you##Q##re like us, you##Q##ll get lots of fun and time out of it so cheap at the price. It##Q##s on the Google Play Store now. Go get it!

Checking out Bard’s Tale using  Tegra 3 High Rez on the Nexus 7 here is some Game-play and a review.
At the moment there’s 50% off The Bard’s Tale so that’s as good a reason as any to head over to the Google Play Store to grab this title.

It’s a real epic this one, and currently at £1.85 you get a lot of investment for your money. inXile have done themselves proud.

What you get is claimed to be the biggest Android game ever made, it’s a vast 3D role player and to get to grips with it properly you need 1.7GB of free space to download extras.

You are the hero, the Bard and you’re in a bit of a bad mood because you’ve had enough of your humdrum life which involves rather nasty living conditions.

There are 50 enemy characters hanging about to make your day even worse, as well as rather too many big bosses for your liking.

The scenarios are beautifully done and include lavish countryside, damp and unwelcoming dungeons as well as towns.

Discover 16 magical helpers and more than 150 different weapons and other necessary gubbins to enhance your quest. The zombies are hilarious, this is truly a game with so much appeal.

The Bard’s Tale includes the original trilogy and at the current price of £1.85 it’s got to be one of the best value for money titles out there. It will take a while to download so don’t panic, the wait is worth it!
