Nvidia Shield Tablet Lollipop Performance Tips Android 5.0 60fps
Nvidia Shield Tablet Lollipop Performance Tips Android 5.0 . Here are some fixes and observations on where we are getting performance bottle necks.
1. If you upgrade to Lollipop you MUST do a factory reset especially if you installed any apps like Facebook before the upgrade;
2. Data being written to internal memory or SD causes slow downs and laggy response times (nothing new in that – slow sequential writes are common on Android devices);
3. Lollipop memory leak or poor task handling, system will after X hours start to become less responsive – seems like a bug, use a task killer or cold reboot the device to get performance back;
4. Encrypting the system hurts write speeds and makes number 2 even worse. Do not use encryption if you care about performance;
5. Reserved.
Anyone got any other observations or tips?
