Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag, a new game from Ubisoft that places you in the heart of Pirates, In Black Flag it is an Assassins Creed game and so it continues the story of Assassins Creed 3 although this is a prequel to those events.
We join Edward Conway father to Connor Conway from the third game, a boy from Swansea who gets caught up in a bit of a mess having killed an assassin and posed as him he’s now been mistaken for a member of the TemplarsĀ and accidentally reveals the location of all of the assassin camps.
Now this starts off a chain reaction which throws Edward right in the middle of pirates escapade along with well-known characters like Blackbeard.
The graphics in this game are really top-notch, creating the most lush and beautiful world you have ever seen. Think of this as like Grand Theft Auto but with pirate ships on the high seas. It really is incredible how much detail is packed in here.
The story itself is by the numbers but very well executed and you do feel yourself getting invested in the story which is absolutely great. The assassins element to this game feels a little bit superfluous here, a game about pirates and swashbuckling would have been absolutely fine with me.
Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag really is a title you have to play to fully understand quite how wonderful it is. I would fully recommend this game to anyone who has a PlayStation or Xbox One or PC. It really is a game to show off what your system can do.
