Stay Alight Android Review Galaxy S4

Stay Alight Android is an Angry Birds style puzzle game where you have to fling balls of light to kill the little green things.

Physics plays a big part in this game. Everything is about angles and firepower.

We found Stay Alight to be incredibly charming with some of the best graphics we’ve ever seen on an Android title and a whole kind of the universe style that just works beautifully, and adds traction into the gameplay.

Stay Alight Android provides incredibly fun gameplay with a wonderful graphical style that we just know you’re going to want to pick up and play this weekend. It’s available on the Google Play Store right now.

As you complete each level you unlock new ones and on completion of each level stars are awarded to show how well you’ve done.

You only have a limited amount of ammunition and your success is completely down to how few shots you used to complete each level.

Monster Shooter 2 Android Review Galaxy S4

Monster Shooter 2 Android is a fantastic dual stick shooter, the sequel to the incredibly popular monster shooter – this game turns it up to 11.

With new graphics, new guns and more over the top gameplay, we can’t help but think this is one of the defining games of 2013.

However, the in-app purchases and advertising can make this a slightly distracting experience from the main game.

We love the addition of a graphics setting option that allows you to tune the game’s graphics to your device, allowing this game to work beautifully on high-end and low-end Android smartphones.

As with all dual stick shooters you will need to practice to get the angle is just right and remember, don’t back yourself into a corner.

The game is free to play and can be downloaded on the Google Play Store now.

Silent Age Android Review Galaxy S4 & Note 2

The Silent age is a touch and click adventure game with a fantastic story and great atmosphere and music. We won’t spoil the plot, but needless to say, it stretches across time and space.

It is fantastic to see developers still exploring this style of gameplay and doing it with such a fantastic atmosphere. The graphics while simple do really lend themselves to this style of game and it makes something deeply involving a way that we haven’t really had from an android game of late.

Silent age takes the concept of point-and-click to new levels and involves you in a way that rarely features these days, we can’t wait to hear what you think of the Silent age because we think it’s going to really below your mind.

Silent age is available on Google play now for free, but there’s no advertising or in app purchases to be found here. Just pay some money and play a great game.

Robot vs Zombies Android Review Galaxy S4 & Note 2

Robot vs Zombies Android is a fantastic and bluebirds style puzzle game. Offering complex physics-based gameplay across multiple levels. You will have to destroy all zombies, if you want to win.

The gameplay can at times be challenging but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to beat a level, we found gameplay to be really excellent as the graphics are incredibly colourful to boot.

The game is free to play, but does have slightly over the top advertising, including adverts that stay on screen all the time as well as popovers.

But this doesn’t detract from an otherwise excellent game, one we recommend you pick up and play this weekend.

Robot versus zombies is great fun and it’s nice to see this style of puzzle game still being created.

LG Optimus L52 E460 Review a mid range Android smartphone

The LG Optimus L52 E460 is a fantastic mid-range Android handset that offers a solid hardware and software package for a reasonable price.
http://androidizen.com
With a 1GHz processor, 512 of RAM and 4gig of storage space, the L52 E460 offers performance and style aimed at the mid-range Android user.

We found the LG Optimus L52 E460 to be both light and easy to hold in the hand owing to its smaller 4in display. Running Android 4.1.2 it is a little behind the times as far as Android OS goes, but still offers many of the latest Jelly Bean features we have come to love.

Don’t expect a powerhouse of gaming from the LG Optimus L52 E460 but you can expect a well rounded device that addresses all of the most common requirements from a smartphone.

We especially like the notification light being built into the home button. It’s a simple yet welcome integration that many other manufacturers would do well to adopt.

The LG Optimus L52 E460 is a safe bet if you are looking for an Android device for a relative who’s new to Android or for those Apple users who want Android but without a hand busting large screen.

This device is fantastic for a wide range of mid-range users – your grandmother, your father, your brother or a sister – anyone who is not looking for a top-of-the-range powerhouse device.

Its in-built software, including an energy safety centre, making quick communication in an emergency, is a welcome addition as is using the notification light in a new way.

Don’t expect this device to set the world on fire but its small screen is actually packing quite a large number of pixels per inch and it’s reasonably bright although the display is a little bit fuzzy and lacking sharpness in places, but it’s reasonable in outdoor conditions as well.

LG has created a fantastic smartphone for the mid-range and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next. The LG Optimus L52 E460 shouldn’t set you back too much money and we appreciate the fact that LG have stuck with a smaller screen on this device rather than going for bigger-is-better.

We were pleased to see the inclusion of near field communication or NFC in this device as well. It’s really good to see NFC coming down into the mid-range of the Android smartphones.

If you’re looking for a smartphone for a first-time Android user, you could do worse than choosing the LG Optimus L52 E460. It offers everything a new user could need as well as being lightweight. ****

Galaxy Note 8.0 Review

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is Samsung’s flagship 8 inch tablet, Galaxy Note 8.0 features an S-pen along with a 5mpx camera and 2 gig of system ram.

As with all Note devices the S-pen is included creating a device that feels aimed more towards the business market than the home user. The Galaxy Note 8.0 is fast with 2 gig of ram and a quad core Exynos processor games and apps fly along nicely.

Their are still some issues with Internal storage from the 16 gig quoted only 9.6 is available for your apps and files which is a bit disappointing.

With the Galaxy Note 8.0 we had a blast it really is one of the best tablets on the market today although it may not be for everyone some users will find the S-pen the perfect way to interact with a tablet.

Updates to the Galaxy Note 8.0 have added some interesting new features like Group Play and a redesigned settings area. We think these additions really help to round out the offer from Samsung for the Note 8.0.

The Galaxy note 8.0 from Samsung is a premium high-end tablet with an 8 inch screen running at 800 x 1280 pixels.

It comes in both Wi-Fi or a GSM, HSDPA and LTE-based device for connecting to mobile networks. The Micro-Sim provides a convenient way to use your tablet on any cellular network.

The camera is a five megapixel 2592×1944 pixel camera with autofocus, geo-tagging, and can record video at 720p at 30 frames per second. The front facing camera is a 1.3 megapixel that is nothing to write home about.

There’s plenty of power in the Galaxy note 8 from the Exyunos 4412 processor, which is a quad core 1.6 GHz Cortex A9 backed up with Mali 400MP GPU.

Sensor wise we have an accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass, helping to add extra features and functionality to your Galaxy Note 8.0.

The nonremovable li-on battery, which is a 4600 battery does a good job keeping the device powered for around 7 to 8 hours. Although the quoted battery life of 14 hours does seem a little unrealistic.

The included software bundle is really fantastic. As always with Samsung leaving no stone unturned when it comes to providing a fully featured software solution, although it is a shame that so much space is taken up with the applications instead of providing more storage space.

All in all, we found the Galaxy note 8.0 to be one of the best tablets on the market today the inclusion of the S-Pen really helps to round out the product providing more ways you can use your tablet and filling in a gap for some people who really like to use an notebook style for notetaking.

Available from online retailers for around £300 or in stores

Oso Tablet Mount Review the ultimate tablet dock

This the Oso Tablet Mount and it’s easily the strongest Tablet grip you have ever seen! The Oso Tablet Mount has such powerful suction you can lift a table with it one handed. The spring loaded grip is rubberised preventing your device from slipping from it’s grip.

As the Oso Tablet Mount suggests the ability to full articulate the grip using a ball-socket allows for perfect positioning of the Oso Tablet Mount in your car or work environment.
