Die for Metal Review Galaxy Note 2 bring on the noise in this loud game. Die for Metal is a platformer with a Death Metal vibe you have to navigate levels filled with death traps all the while rocking out to one of the best soundtracks to ever grace a mobile game.
If you don’t mind meeting a gruesome end, then Die for Metal is for you.
The 45 levels in this 69p game from SinSquid Games, start easily enough, but it doesn’t take long to realise you might have taken on one battle too many.
The storyline is that you want to be in a death-metal band, and you’re not going to let anything stand in your way as you power your way through three different worlds, getting to grips with some challenging bosses.
Inevitably there are casualties, mostly yourself, but this is one game where to die in action is to be considered a bit of a hero, rather than the usual down-on-your-luck loser.
There’s lots of heavy metal booming along in the background, 14 mega tracks in all so turn the volume up and get stuck in.
The controls are easy enough, two buttons for left and right and another to jump.
It’s a little laggy, but not really enough to spoil your enjoyment of the game, you might notice that most on power-ups.
SinSquid are the devs behind Black Metal Man, a darkish adventure game, so if you like Die for Metal that would be the next one to try.
This is head banging metal music turned up to 11 and the devs seem to take great pleasure in putting the DIE part of Die for Metal right up front. This game can be challenging.
