Unbreakable screen for new Samsung Galaxy S4?
If you’re a bit clumsy, and given to face planting your Samsung phone, then you’ll welcome the news that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to have a flexible and unbreakable screen.
The bendy screen has been codenamed Project J and could be on sale as early as next April.
Samsung is in a selling war with Apple’s rival iPhones for the biggest share of the $200 billion market, so a revolutionary new screen could see a significant sales boost.
The technology could include LEDs on a plastic surface instead of a glass one, making the smartphone lighter and possibly cheaper to manufacture.
Samsung Galaxy S4 features
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is also expected to have a 13-megapixel camera, with a 441ppi 1080p screen, one up from the Samsung Galaxy S3′s 306ppi 720p display and the iPhone’s 326ppi.
It will also feature a larger and better display as well as a more powerful processor.
In an early Christmas present, Samsung is predicted to ship 22.5million of the Galaxy S3 and Note II smartphones in the quarter to the end of the year, and the total Galaxy S3 sales will top 40 million by the end of this month.
The ongoing legal spat with Apple has made potential customers realise that Samsung phones have plenty to offer and the firm is trousering plenty of cash on the back of it.
The Galaxy Note 2 is doing very well for it’s self sales wise as well reaching 5 million sales in just over a month.
